A day's archery workshop for an international pharmaceutical company. One of the UK's leading experts in mediaeval archery guided the participants through the process of manufacturing their own bows, bowstrings and arrows. Wood for the bows had to be shaped, bowstrings needed plaiting and arrows needed fletching. All of these processes had to be organised by the team to produce a working bow and arrow for each participant. The final test came in the afternoon when the home-made equipment had to be field tested. All participants managed to hit the target with their own bow and arrows and they were able to go home with a unique souvenir of their efforts. The day demonstrated the importance of working systematically as a team in order to achieve your goal. Objective setting, process working and communication skills were all tested in a different and enjoyable day.
